We came, we sawed, we conquered
On Saturday, 19th August, the BlueCross Blitz team was deployed into a Coffs Harbour backyard to turn it from an overgrown jungle to a tropical paradise.
We assembled the most ruthless, sap-thirsty bunch we could find, and dropped them in wielding chainsaws, shovels, and other Weapons of Grass Destruction.
Seven trailer-loads of debris came out, new plants went in. The unsuspecting occupant had been treated to a day out and returned to a whole new yard.
It was hard work, and there were a lot of scratched shins and aching muscles, but it was lot of fun, and we’re all looking forward to doing another one soon. Just not too soon.
